AI against the alt right

1 minute read

A new type of right thinking has recently emerged in the internet, known as alt-right. Its stance against liberalism is not this time in terms of what is the right thing to do in terms of morality, but it emphasizes more on a discussion about what is really possible and distorted views about what really is. Its most identifying phrase is that of Ben Shapiro: “Reality doesn’t care about your feelings”.

As a discussed idea between me and Ilan Manouach, we decided to start the project of the AI-against the alt right by collecting a big amount of alt-right twitter users and crawling their tweets. We trained a language model on this type of language and we managed to successfully create a mapping object of the Alt-Right, which made to be inspired and respond to trending tweets. On our newest iteration we try to engage the alt-right generator into replying to posts of other alt-right people, by crawling big amounts of twitter posts, to make this mapping even more interactive.

If you like this project and you want to support it, consider following it on Twitter.

Note: being supportive of capitalism should be thought as disentangled in a causative sense with being a right-winger. Capitalism or whatever we are living in is a multivariate organism with huge non-ideological components that surpass limits of translating something into an ideology. Ideology is thus connected in the network of capitalism with a lot of other non-ideological entities. Forward and backward passes in this network happen all the time producing new realities from all its parts (ideas, senses, organs) their meta-parts (friendship, communities, organization, …), their attributes (learnable, non-linearities, functions, etc) and meta attributes, communicating through instances of causative, hierarchical, dialectic and other types of communication and meta-communication.
